Cash Game Regulations Gentlemen's Poker Club - Bucharest
CASH GAME REGULATIONS
The official language at the game table is Romanian, the only exception being national and international festivals, where players from different countries are brought together, where English will also be used.
The Floor will also make the rules known in Romanian and English where appropriate so that the game can proceed smoothly.
NEW TABLES OPENING:
If there are 3 or more players at the table, the dealer automatically shuffles the cards.
If players want to play HeadsUp, the dealer announces the service floor.
Before the game starts, the dealer will deal cards to find out who is the dealer button.
Each player can choose which position they will play.
RAKE:
(*cap = maximum)
ALWAYS 5% – (for stakes 1/3, 2/2 PLO and 2/5 – *cap 20lei) (for stakes 5/5, 5/10 and higher – *cap 30lei)
The auto-straddle counts as the third blind, meaning that if the game is NLH 2/5 the straddle will be 10, if the game is NLH 1/3 the straddle will be 6, if the game is PLO 2/2 the straddle will be 4.
2-4 players – *10lei per head (15lei)
5-9 players – *normal cap 20lei (30lei)
RAKE – SPLIT POT:
If players play a single board and split the pot, the rake is still 5% *cap 10/15 lei, but the rake will only be taken from dead money. Players CANNOT lose in the hand.
Example 1: The pot is 504 lei and the dead money is 4 lei (i.e., both players put 250 lei into the pot and 4 lei is from other players) we only take 4 lei.
Example 2: the pot is 504 lei, dead money 20 lei, we take 10 lei rake.
DEAL-IT-TWICE RAKE (players deal 2 times):
Players will be able to bet two or more times only if the pot is at least 400 lei.
Players who bet twice (or more times) and the pot is split, we take normal rake if there is no split on the first board, *cap 20/30 lei. Players can lose money in this case.
MAIN POT/SIDE POT RAKE:
The rake is always 5% up to the maximum limit of each main pot and side pot.
Example:
-The main pot is 201 lei, the side pot is 782 lei. Take 10 lei from the main pot and 10 lei (20 lei) from the side pot.
-The main pot is 629 lei, the secondary pot is 450 lei, from the main pot the rake is 20 lei (30 lei), from the secondary pot the rake is 0 lei

DEALING CARDS, MUCK:
In cash games, the rule is "last card on the button." The player is allowed to play his hand if he is in his seat before the last card is dealt. If the player is not in his seat and the last card is dealt, his hand is dead.
The cards cannot leave the table, the dealer must see them at all times. If a card falls off the table, the dealer announces to the floor attendant "change cards table NR."
If the player has left the table but their chips are still on the table, the dealer deals the cards until they become the Big Blind. The dealer then places the MISSED BLIND button next to their box.
The player CANNOT touch any other chips and cards than his/her own.
BUY:
The new player must start with the min. buy-in for the game. If the player loses all the chips, there must be a new buy-in also at least the min. buy-in for the game. If the player still has chips in front of him/her and those chips are less than the min. buy-in and the player wants to buy more chips, he/she does not have to buy again at the min. buy-in, there is the possibility of reloading.
Example: The 1/3 or 2/5 stake player has 110 lei and wants to buy 200 lei again, it is allowed.
If the table the players are at is closed by the floor, the player has the option to move to another table only with the maximum allowed for the table.
The player who voluntarily changes tables or comes from a table that has closed must start at the respective blinds with at least the minimum buy-in.
If the player leaves the table and removes his/her chips from the table and then comes back to the same table in less than 2 hours, he/she must play with the same amount he/she left the table with.
If players wish to change the game, limit or min. buy-in, the floorman must be called to the table to be informed.
CASH GAME LIMITS AND MIN. BUY-IN:

5/5 PLO 300 Lei No Max 5% max 30 Lei *cap
5/10 NLH 500 Lei No Max 5% max 30 Lei *cap
DECK CHANGE:
If the player or dealer recognizes that a card is damaged/marked, the dealer calls out "FLOORMAN, change cards table NO."
The deck can be changed even if some of the players request a change of deck. The decision whether the deck of cards will be changed depends on the floorman.
Changing tables, seats or BB
Changing seats: The player already playing at the table has priority in choosing which seat they want to play over a new player.
If the player wishes to change a seat and, with this change, he/she moves away from the blinds, he/she is obliged to pay both blinds.
The new player has several options. If he/she wants to play immediately, he/she should post the amount of 1 Big Blind or, if possible, start with a straddle or, of course, on the BB.
The only exception to non-payment of a post is when the player loses all chips, goes to the cashier for change and returns to the table within 30 minutes or if the player comes from a table that has closed.
If the player has left the table but their chips are still on the table, the dealer deals the cards in their box until they are in BB. After that, they will receive the MISSED BLIND button and will not receive any more cards.
This player must pay both blinds when he/she returns to the table or he/she can wait for the BB.
Did the player call the BB and only go for the SB? Even in this case, the player must still pay both blinds ("buy the button")

Two players with MISSED BLIND – what is the procedure if both players want to play immediately?
If both players come in the blinds, in this case, the dealer must explain to player 1 that he/she is the button to buy and player 5 calls post or straddle, and the next hand the button must also buy.

STRADDLE, RE-STRADDLE:
Straddling and restraddling is allowed at all tables up to the button.
Straddle is always double BB. The only exception is 2/2, the straddle is 5 Lei and games with BB 10 Lei (5/10,10/10) where all players agree to straddle 25 Lei. This is to make the game faster and easier for players and dealers.
The player is always allowed to straddle when he is UTG (the position after the BB). The player is also allowed to straddle when UTG or UTG+1 are not at the table, but have chips on the table and they are in the game.

SHOWDOWN and GIVING POT TO THE PLAYER
If the game goes to showdown, the first to show cards is the player who made the last aggressive action.
If all players have checked on the river, the first to show their cards is the player closest to the button, clockwise, and then all other players.
SHOWDOWN and POT Winner PROCEDURE:
After the last action on the river, the dealer announces "showdown", the players turn over their cards, and the dealer demonstrates the winning hand.
ShowDown Situations:
2 players: If a player is all in and is called by the second player, and the rest of the players fold, this all in is meant as the last aggressive action, therefore in the showdown, the player who went all in must show his cards first.
3 players: Player A goes all in on the flop/turn, players B and C call player B, and player C folds. Player B must show first, because he forced player C out of the hand with his bet. Then, it's player A's turn to show.
If a player shows his cards even though there is still action pending, his hand is still "active", his cards must remain face up on the table and the player may continue. He has all the allowed options (check, bet, raise, fold). In this situation the floor will be called immediately.
To win the pot, the player must show all of his cards. This rule does not apply if all players fold and there is only one player with the active hand.
Cash game and SHOW ONE SHOW ALL rule
The "Show one, show all" rule DOES NOT apply in cash games in the same way as in tournaments. The dealer does not automatically show the cards, only at the request of the players.
If during the hand a player shows his cards to another player who is not in the hand and someone else asks to see this hand, the dealer keeps this hand near the muck and shows it after the hand is over.
The "ALL IN – CALL – SHOWDOWN" players are not required to show their hand at ALL IN – CALL.
PLAYERS ACTION, BETS, ODD CHIP, STRING BET
If the player bets, the dealer must repeat the bet value in an understandable manner (in Romanian and English as appropriate,...)
The action of the player "OUT OF TURN" remains mandatory, on the table if the action of the players before it has not changed (if all the players before the player who acted "OUT OF TURN" fold, check, call). If one of those players raises the bet (RAISE) then the player who acted "OUT OF TURN" can take his chips back and receive all the options (fold, call, raise).
If the player does not see the last raise and calls the previous bet, the dealer is obliged to call the floor immediately and block the action.
Example: Player A bets 60 lei, player B raises to 130 lei, player C calls 60 lei in front of him. These 60 lei will remain in the pot, player C can decide whether to call 130 lei or fold. This player can only fold or call. He is not eligible to raise.
RAISE, BET:
There are two RAISE options:
Deposit the entire amount in one go.
The second is the verbal announcement.
Also, in cash games, we have differential raising. However, the first raise must be at least double the previous bet.
The 50% rule:
If the player makes a raise that is 50% or more than the previous bet, this action is considered a minimum raise.
-Example: action on the flop. The player makes the first bet of 200 Lei, the second player places 310 Lei, which is more than 50% of the previous bet.
Player two must complete up to 400 Lei (Min. Raise).
Blinds 1/3 and 2/5 – any raise (of course, at least 2bb) is allowed. This means that if the game is 2/5, a raise of 16 is allowed, etc.
At other limits, the allowed raise depends on the SB. For example, at 10/10 the raise can only be a multiple of 10. At a 5/5 game, the raise can only be a multiple of 5, etc.
INCOMPLETE RAISES:
Incomplete raise is when the player is All IN and this bet does not cover the full raise of the previous bet.
EXAMPLE 1 – 5/10 cash game, UTG player raises to 20, UTG+1 player (4th place) is ALL-IN 25. Because the ALL-IN is an incomplete raise, the next minimum raise is 35 lei. 10 must be added to the total amount of the player in 4th place, which is the difference in the increase of the last valid raise before the ALL-IN.
HAND SEAT 1 SEAT 2 SEAT 3 SEAT 4 SEAT 5
1 Small 5 Lei Big 10 Lei Raise 20 Lei Allin 25 Lei Min. Raise = 35
EXAMPLE 2 – 5/10 cash game, UTG player raises 20, UTG+1 player (SEAT 4) is still in 25 (incomplete) the next player (SEAT 5) raises to 40. The next minimum raise (of the player in SEAT 6) would then be 55. To the last raise of 40 is added the last valid difference, which was the raise between players SEAT 4 to SEAT 5, which is 15.
HAND SEAT 1 SEAT 2 SEAT 3 SEAT 4 SEAT 5 SEAT 6
1 Small 5 Big 10 Raise 20 Raise 25 Raise 40 Min. Raise 55
EXAMPLE 3 – 5/10 cash game, the UTG player (SEAT 3) raises ALL-IN 15, then the UTG+1 player (SEAT 4) raises then 25. In this case, we need to add 10 to all bets, because that would be the difference in the full raise (the first raise must be double the BB).
HAND SEAT 1 SEAT 2 SEAT 3 SEAT 4
1 Small 5 Big 10 Allin 15 Min. Raise 25
ONE CHIP RULE:
If the player puts a single chip into the pot without announcing anything, his action is considered as Si call.
Example: Player A – bets 200 lei, player B – calls, player C – throws a 500 chip and does NOT announce a raise – it is ALWAYS just a call. If the player says "RAISE" without any amount, then the "RAISE" is 500.
The only exception is if the pre-flop action was just a call from the big blind, and the player in the BB puts a chip above his BB. This action is then raising the total amount of all the chips the player has in front of him or at the minimum raise.
POT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Only in POT LIMIT games can the dealer tell players information about how much is in the pot. In NO LIMIT games, the dealer CANNOT tell players how much is in the pot. The only thing the dealer can do is spread the pot so that the players can count the pot themselves. Players are not allowed to touch the pot!
ODD CHIP:
In "SPLIT POT" if there is an odd chip left in the pot, the dealer changes the chip to the lowest possible value. However, the lowest chip value must be equal to one small blind. If there is an odd chip left, this chip will go to the player closest to the button in a clockwise direction. (5/5 PLO, the pot is 95 after rake, the player closest to the button receives 50, the second player receives 45. The last remaining chip of 5 is not changed to smaller chips).
CHOP:
CHOP is allowed, but ONLY PRE-FLOP between the Small Blind and the Big Blind. If there are other players besides the SB and BB, CHOP IS NOT ALLOWED.
RABBIT HUNTING:
"Rabbit Hunting" (showing cards that would come when all players have folded) IS NOT ALLOWED!
The only exception is the "big games", in which "Rabbit Hunting" is allowed, only with the approval of the floor, but only if all players, active in the hand, agree to the last bet.
LAST ACTIVE PLAYER WITH NUTS:
If the player is the last to act and has NUTS, he is not required to raise!
STRING BET / RAISE:
"STRING BET" is any bet/raise that is not made in one move. The player must announce in advance how he wants to bet/raise or put all his chips into the pot in one move!
If the player makes a "STRING BET" bet, only the first chip that touches the table will be taken into account.
If there is already a bet from player A and player B does not announce the raise and starts placing chips, from several moves, only the first amount, which player B placed, will be considered as a raise as appropriate (then follows the rule of a chip-call/50% rule and others).
The decision, whether the move was a "STRING BET" or not, is at the discretion of the Dealer/Floor as the case may be.
TIME
A player can ask another player for time.
DEALING TWICE
If one of the players in the hand DOES NOT AGREE to deal more than once, the hand is played only ONCE for the main pot. Players in the side pot are not allowed to deal for the main pot. They can only deal on the side pot.
If everyone agrees, the hand can be shaken multiple times.
BREAKING TABLE
Only the floorman can decide if that table will close, not the dealer or the players!
If players do not want to play anymore, the dealer calls the floorman and the players are offered seats at other tables or will be given a place on the waiting list as appropriate. If there are not enough seats, the players will draw a card.
The deck will be spread face down and the players will draw cards. The dealer will draw cards for players who are not at the table, unless there is a MISSED BLIND next to their stack. If two players have the same cards, the suit of the card is decisive. (in descending order – black heart, red heart, diamond and club).
MISSDEAL – THE ONLY SITUATIONS IN WHICH THE DEALER CAN DECIDE IT IS A MISSDEAL:
• The first or second card is turned face up while being dealt
• Two or more cards turn face up
A single card, turned over, is not a "MISSDEAL"
If a card leaves the playing surface, it is not a "MISSDEAL" - in this case, the dealer calls it to the floor with "change deck table No. xxx" and the deck will be changed according to the hand. The card, which fell from the table, is shown to all players and is used as the first burn card.
